Workshops in the garden of the Stomorica Archaeological Collection

Art workshops

Art workshops will be held every Thursday beginning June 6th from 10 am to 11:30 am. 

Cyanotype Workshop (Traces of light) – painting with light with photosensitive chemicals that leave a trace on a backgroudn when lighted creating interesting motifs.

Painting with Coffee/Wine (A Cup of Art) – selection of motifs from printed images, aquarelle painting with chosen fluids.

Linocut Block Printing (Greetings from Novalja) – cutting matrixes into linoleum or wood with a knife, glazing the matrix with graphic colour and printing on a surface. This can be printed on paper and create postcards that can be sent to your friends.

Gypsum and cotton (Fruit of the Sea) – creating sea creatures using wire, cotton and gypsum, medelling and colouring, creating a group arrangement, decorations from chosen motifs.

The workshops are lead by an art pedagogue Klara Badurina. The number of participants is limited.

Price per month is €7.

Knitting classes will be held every Thursday starting June 5th until August 20th 

Basics of knitting highlighting the handcaft of Novalja women.
The knitting workshops are held in Novalja for the second year in the row in winter months. Due to interest we decided to open up our cultural heritage to our summer visitors as well.

The course is lead by Katica Ropuš and it is held every Wednesday in Stomorica courtyard starting June 5th at 7 pm.

The course is free but the number of participants is limited.
